The energy of the sun comes from its nuclear fusion. That creates helium from hydrogen. The process occurs in the core and on the surface of the sun. The Earth receives this energy because of the electromagnetic radiation. Here it is perceived as light and warmth. With the development of technologies for using solar energy, people use the most natural form of energy.

The amount of energy that the sun radiates to earth is enormous. The amount is not just enough to fulfill all the needs of humankind but even exceeds them many times. The calculations are quite different. They also depend on numerous factors but most experts claim that the amount of sun energy exceeds the global need of Earth and humankind over 13,000 times. There even are some data that the energy of suns produced during one hour would be enough to supply humanity with electricity for a year.
Germany Is Leading The Way
There is no surprise that humankind tries to make this enormous source of energy used for a longer time. The solution of how to save more energy of the sun was the solar cells. Sadly, the end of fossil resources on the planet is the plan of our near future, and the effects of climate change have led politicians and businesses to focus more on solar energy. They are looking for new ways to use the highest possible percentage of the available power from the sun. Therefore, solar energy is becoming increasingly important all over the world. Some countries have already changed their energy supply dramatically in a very positive way, and Germany is one of the best examples. With the so-called energy transition, the country has already achieved a share of renewable energy of over 40%.
Environmentally Friendly And Almost Unlimited Usable
The possible ways of using this energy are very wide. You can use solar energy for heating and convert it into electricity. It does not produce CO2, soot, or fine dust. The situation is quite different from traditional coal-fired power plants or the burning of oil, as a result, solar energy is very environmental-friendly. The power of the sun works via thermal solar systems when they capture the light because of the solar collectors and use its thermal energy. The process works even in times of low sunshine because the energy can be stored and used when it is needed.
Power plants operate on a larger scale because they use parabolic mirrors. These concentrate the light and heat a liquid as a heat carrier. The heat is then converted into electricity in a power plant and provided for customers. Renewable energy was proven to be the most environment-friendly way of generating energy. We already can use it for many stuff such as electric cars. The challenge of the future lies in the technologies of development and storage.
